Captain Crabby: This pattern was created by Bob Veverka a professional fly tier of both fresh and saltwater patterns. This general purpose crab pattern can imitate many species in the Families; Portunidae (Swimming Crabs), Xanthidae (Mud Crabs) and Mijidae (Spider Crabs). When fished as a crab the fly should travel in a series of short strips but when a fish shows interest pause and let the fly dive to the bottom.
