Tailwater Sowbug, Tungsten: Sow bugs, also known as Cress bugs are isopods that are similar to fresh water shrimp . Sow bugs have strongly segmented bodies with a pair of feet on each segment, as such they are easy to identify in the water. This species usually thrives in Tailwater fisheries where trout find them as a steady part of their daily diet. There are few patterns as effective in a Tailwater situation like Scuds, Freshwater Shrimp and Sow Bugs. This pattern has a tungsten bead which keeps it fishing close to the bottom where it should be. Truly a must when fishing any Tailwater situation.
