Hunchback Scud: This is an imitation of the Scud species in the three families of the Order Amphipoda, those being Talitridae, Haustoriidae and the most important Gammaridae. Scuds swim straight bodied and only present the rounded shrimp-like curved body when they are in danger, out of the water or dead. That being said, it is a good tactic to fish this pattern in a dead drift. Note that dead scuds are pink to orange/red in color, a function of the carotene in their shells. We are currently updating our inventory and not accepting new orders. Please check back at a later date. |
