Lefty's Big Fish Deceiver: This is the famous Lefty's Deceiver created by Lefty Kreh in the late 1950's. It is considered a major milestone in the evolution of saltwater fly patterns and it has probably caught more fish than any other saltwater pattern in existence today. The Deceiver is more of a method of tying a fly than a pattern itself. The concept is that the wing is attached at the tail with the collar surrounding the spot where the wing joins the hook making the wing almost never foul or wrap under there hook in flight. This particular variant is tied with an extra long wing and tail to create a much larger silhouette for larger fish species.
