Clouser Deep Minnow Fly
One of the most Successful Patterns Ever Created for anything that eats baitfish
|
Clouser Deep Minnow: In 1984 Bob Clouser used weighted metallic dumbbell eyes to create a fly pattern that mimicked the action of a fleeing baitfish. He tied the pattern hook up and weight down to lessen the chance of snagging and thus created the Clouser Minnow. The key to this patterns effectiveness is that on the retrieve it never stops moving darting about just like a live baitfish would do. This is a universal prey species imitation that can literally be used on almost any inshore gamefish species. Always carry some of these with you in various colors and sizes.
