RM Needlefish: This is just an outstanding pattern from the talented commercial fly tier Rich Murphy. The body is made of a densely woven Mylar braid that is shaped flat-sided for easy casting and a large profile. Although this pattern is designed as a Needelfish pattern it bears a strong resemblance to a Ballyhoo (Family Hemiramphidae) which is why we like to throw it at billfish.
