Green Butt Black Bear: This is a famous Atlantic Salmon pattern that Steelheaders both West and Midwest have found to be quite effective. This variant of the Black Bear was given a green butt by Don Leyden in 1953 who then called it the Green-Ass Hornet. This pattern works well in the low light periods of early morning and dusk.
