Spruce: Created in the early 1900's to fish for Sea-Run Cutthroats and Steelhead this pattern was originally called the Godfrey Badger Hackle so named for its long wing hackle and creator. As with many old classics what made it an effective minnow imitation back then still works well today. The long flowing wing adds life to the pattern with its movement and the peacock herl/red floss body add contrast and color giving this beauty its fish appeal.
