Sulfur Spinner Fly
This is a major hatch in Eastern Rivers and Streams
|
Sulfur Spinner: Here again we have the infamous Genus Ephemerella with species rotunda and invaria the Eastern sulpher duns. Hatching is between Mid-May and late June. E. rotunda is first triggered by 52-58 degree water with E. invaria hatching a few weeks later with 54-60 degree water temperature. Spinners gather above stretches of riffle water at dusk. Male spinners almost never fall spent whereas females may. We are currently updating our inventory and not accepting new orders. Please check back at a later date. |
