Permit Crab (Del's Merkin): This is it, the only Permit pattern you ever really need. Created by Del Brown and Flats Guide Steve Huff this single pattern has probably caught more South Florida Permit than all other Permit patterns combined. More than just a fly, the use of this pattern created a whole new method of fly fishing for Permit by casting to the fish and letting the fly fall to the bottom.
