X Caddis: Created by Craig Mathews and John Juracek to represent a Caddisfly adult cripple that has not completely emerged from its pupal case. Cripple patterns such as this one are especially effective on selective fish holding in slow water. Caddisflies normally hatch quite quickly not giving trout the time to selectively feed on them.
