Female Adams Dry Fly: Considered by many to be one of the most universal attractor patterns of all time. The Adams does not imitate a specific aquatic insect but it does have a silhouette similar to that of many different mayflies making it so universal. This variation of the Adams Dun has a yellow Egg Sac tied into the butt section of the fly to give the illusion of a female Mayfly depositing eggs into the surface film. As a fishing tool the Female Adams allows you to fish a particular Mayfly hatch when you just don't have the exact match in your fly box.
