Pate's Billfish Fly: From the Master of Billfish on the Fly; Billy Pate who probably has more fly caught billfish than anyone else to date. This is a tandem hook surface fly with a spun bucktail body and large doll eyes for the billfish to key on. The underside of the body is cut flat so that the tandem hooks ride with points up and down as designed. This is without question one of the most effective Sailfish patterns commercially tied today.
