Turneffe Crab: Named after the crabs seen on the reefs of Turneffe Atoll, Belize this is a very unique crab pattern developed by Craig Mathews owner of Blue Ribbon Flies, West Yellowstone, MT. It is capable of imitating many of the small crab species so important to the diet of Belizean Bonefish. With the various color choices available you can imitate the important species Mithrax sculptus (Green Reef Crab) and Microphrys bicornutus (Spotted Decorator Crab) plus many other small flats and reef crabs. Not just for Belize as bonefish everywhere eat small crabs.
