Hex Spinner: The giant Mayfly known as Hexagenia limbata the Great Olive-Winged Drake also known as the Michigan Caddis. This species is distributed across the entire US with exceptionally large populations in the Midwest and western populations extending from New Mexico to Alaska. Spinner falls coincide with the hatch and usually run between 9:PM and Midnight during warm evenings. Cool overcast days may produce spinner falls several hours earlier.
