Juju Baetis: Baetis nymphs inhabit many streams preferring weedy riffles and runs. Also known as Blue Winged Olives, Baetis nymphs are free swimmers and prior to hatching (usually in late morning)start drifting down the river and swimming to the surface normally on overcast and rainy days that produce little sunlight. Trout do recognize this movement and often become selective feeders due to the small size of the natural. This pattern is a colorful variation of a Baetis nymph that really stands out in off colored or dark water. It is also a good choice when fishing spring creeks.
